Terms of Service

Welcome to CureByte Technologies. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of all websites, platforms, software systems, and services operated by CureByte Technologies, including but not limited to: our conference registration system, medical journal management platform, ophthalmologist directory, VisionCare patient management system, doctor and clinic websites, and any other services we provide (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, registering for, or using any of our Services — whether as a doctor, clinic, medical society, conference delegate, patient, journal author, or general visitor — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and CureByte Technologies, a company registered and operating in Lahore, Pakistan.

Description of Services

CureByte Technologies provides the following digital services, primarily focused on the medical and healthcare sector, with specialized expertise in Ophthalmology:

  • VisionCare Patient Management System: A cloud-based clinical records system designed for ophthalmologists to manage patient data, visual acuity records, diagnostics, prescriptions, and follow-ups.
  • Conference Registration System: An online platform for managing delegate registrations, payments, badges, and event logistics for medical conferences.
  • Medical Journal Management: A digital platform for manuscript submission, peer review, editing, and publishing of medical journals.
  • Ophthalmologist Directory: An online directory of verified ophthalmologists in Pakistan with patient booking capabilities.
  • Website & CMS Development: Custom website design and content management for individual doctors, clinics, and medical societies.
  • Medical Field Force Marketing: Digital marketing services for ophthalmology pharmaceutical field forces.
  • AI & Decision Support Integration: Collaboration with international partners to integrate AI-driven clinical decision support tools into medical practice.

User Accounts & Access

To access certain Services, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and secure
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or exhibit suspicious activity.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable medical, healthcare, or data protection regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Services, other user accounts, or our systems
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or any code of a destructive nature
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from our platforms through automated means without written permission
  • Misrepresent professional qualifications, credentials, or affiliations in any directory listing or profile
  • Use patient data from the VisionCare system for any purpose beyond direct patient care, as authorized by the subscribing doctor/clinic
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services

Patient Management System Terms

The following terms apply specifically to the VisionCare Patient Management System and are in addition to the general terms above.

  • Licensed Healthcare Providers Only: VisionCare is licensed solely to qualified healthcare providers (doctors, clinics, hospitals). You must hold valid medical credentials and professional registration.
  • Data Ownership: All patient data entered into VisionCare remains the sole property of the subscribing doctor or clinic. CureByte Technologies does not claim ownership of clinical data.
  • Clinical Responsibility: CureByte Technologies is a technology provider, not a medical provider. All clinical decisions, diagnoses, and treatments are the sole responsibility of the subscribing healthcare provider.
  • Data Backup Responsibility: While we maintain automated backups, the subscribing provider is responsible for ensuring they have access to critical patient data. We recommend maintaining local backups for redundancy.
  • Compliance: The subscribing provider is responsible for ensuring their use of VisionCare complies with all applicable medical, data protection, and patient confidentiality regulations in their jurisdiction.

Conference Registration Terms

  • Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for providing accurate registration details. Incorrect information may affect badge printing, certificate issuance, and CME credit allocation.
  • Payment: Registration fees are processed through third-party payment gateways. A confirmation email serves as your receipt. Refund policies are determined by the organizing medical society and will be clearly stated during registration.
  • Data Sharing with Organizers: Your registration data (name, affiliation, contact) will be shared with the organizing medical society for event management purposes. This is disclosed during registration.
  • Conduct: All delegates must adhere to the code of conduct set by the organizing medical society. CureByte Technologies is not responsible for delegate behavior at events.

Ophthalmologist Directory Terms

  • Verification: All listed doctors must be verified practitioners holding valid PMDC (Pakistan Medical and Dental Council) registration or equivalent credentials. CureByte Technologies reserves the right to verify and remove unverified listings.
  • Accuracy: Listed doctors are responsible for keeping their profiles, qualifications, contact information, and consultation hours accurate and up to date.
  • Booking: Patient appointments booked through the directory are between the patient and the doctor/clinic. CureByte Technologies facilitates the booking but is not a party to the doctor-patient relationship.
  • No Endorsement: Inclusion in the directory does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of the quality of medical services provided by any listed practitioner.

Medical Journal Terms

  • Originality: Authors must submit original work and must not simultaneously submit the same manuscript to another publication.
  • Editorial Independence: The editorial board of each journal maintains full independence over editorial decisions. CureByte Technologies provides the technology platform only and does not influence editorial content or peer review outcomes.
  • Copyright: Copyright of published articles is governed by the respective journal's copyright policy, which will be clearly communicated during the submission process.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, code, interfaces, and software comprising the Services are the intellectual property of CureByte Technologies or its licensors, protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not: copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from any part of the Services without our explicit written permission.

You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., patient records, journal manuscripts, directory profiles). By submitting content, you grant CureByte Technologies a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Services.

Payments & Refunds

  • Subscription Fees: VisionCare and other subscription-based services are billed according to the plan selected. Fees are non-refundable for the current billing period except as required by law.
  • Conference Fees: Refund policies for conference registrations are determined by the organizing medical society and will be clearly stated during the registration process.
  • Website Development: Payment terms for custom website and CMS projects are outlined in individual project proposals and contracts.
  • Price Changes: We may adjust subscription pricing with 30 days' written notice. Existing subscribers will be notified via email before any changes take effect.

Limitation of Liability

Please read this section carefully.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
  • CureByte Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption, arising from or related to the use of or inability to use the Services.
  • CureByte Technologies is not liable for any clinical decisions, diagnoses, treatments, or medical outcomes made by healthcare providers using our systems. Medical responsibility rests entirely with the licensed practitioner.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to CureByte Technologies in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CureByte Technologies, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Your clinical decisions, diagnoses, or treatments (for healthcare provider users)
  • Content you submit or make available through the Services

Termination

  • By You: You may stop using the Services at any time. For subscription services, you may cancel by providing written notice. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. We will provide reasonable notice when possible, except in cases of urgent security concerns.
  • Data Return: Upon termination of subscription services, you may request a full export of your data within 30 days. After 60 days, all remaining data will be permanently deleted from our servers.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification) will remain in effect.

Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration in Lahore, Pakistan, in accordance with the Arbitration Act 1940 (or any successor legislation). The language of arbitration shall be English.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by:

  • Posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date
  • Sending email notification to registered users for significant changes
  • Displaying a prominent notice within the Services

Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
